Primary ICT

Technology

In preparing students for life in the 21st Century Bonn International School has invested considerable resources in information and communications technology (ICT).

The school has over 170 computers and wireless computer access throughout. Every classroom has at least one 'fixed' computer with possibilities to bring in trolley's of laptops for class activities. Currently we have two dedicated ICT laboratories, one equipped with PC's and one with Apple computers. Over the course of time we will replace all PC's in the learning environment with Apple computers.

We have attracted considerable financial sponsorship for technology with the 'Henry Ford' Technology suite focussing on offering advanced design and technology opportunities, and the Deutsche Welle satellite link providing access to news and media in multiple languages directly into classrooms.

A computer station provided by Deutsche Welle has also been set up for the use of parents in the cafeteria.

We have an ambitious agenda for using technology to support teaching and learning.
