A very important part of student life at the Bonn International School (BIS) is the various activities for developing social skills of the students, appropriate to their age. Currently, the students of the middle school grades participate in a "Community and Service" programme.

The "Community and Service" programme is organised within the tutor group. Students may become involved in individual or class projects or both. The aims of this programme are to teach the students to learn about and appreciate their place in the various communities of which they are a part: family, school, local area, country and global communities.
