Development
As usual at BIS, there is a diversity of activities and events coming up ... to highlight but a few ....
May and June are busy months, with many students presenting projects which are the culmination of their year's work. Due to the fantastic performances at the Winter Concert (and that there was greater demand for tickets than places available!), there will be two concerts, one from Secondary and one from Primary students, to round out the musical school year in June.
International Day, the highlight of every year, will take place on Saturday, 14 June from noon - 16:00. Featuring fabulous food from around the world, a slate of memorable performers, and the delights of the Don Mehloni Circus School, International Day gives families and staff a great chance to socialize and round out the year before leaving on summer break.
Speaking of leaving ... with such international and highly-mobile families composing our community, moving on to a new home is something most of our parents and students will have to face. But leaving BIS does mean one has to leave the community. BIS has an Alumni Programme in place to maintain contact with the students, parents and staff who have so enriched the school. It also helps these people to remain in contact amongst themselves. Alumni will regularly receive Waves Magazine and notice of events and developments at the school.
To sign up, go to the Community page on the BIS website, then go to Alumni, fill out the form and hit submit. Staying in touch can be so easy!
