We believe here at BIS that to really understand music, you must do it. Put the horn in your mouth and blow. Open your mouth and sing. Pull the bow across the string. Do it. Participate. Be involved. Make music.
In addition to a solid and comprehensive music curriculum taught in classes at BIS, we have a strong commitment to musical groups who rehearse outside of school time.
Music making brings people together in a social and working environment. Through interaction with others strong leadership skills are developed and young musicians often turn out to be dynamic leaders of the community at large.
The Music Faculty invites all students to get involved in an Extra Curricular Music Activity this year. Whether you love to sing, play an instrument or would like to learn one, we have something for you. Feel free to drop into the Music Department for a chat, or just a look around - we would love to see you!
