School Fees
The Board of Trustees of the Bonn International School has established the following fees for the school year 2008-2009:
BIS Fees
Terms and Conditions
Examination Fees:
These will be invoiced separately when application is made for a student to sit external examinations.
Special Needs Evaluation Fee:
€128 - costs associated with assessment of child's needs.
School Trips and Excursions:
Parents will be billed for costs based on individual participation.
Speech, Language and Individual Support Services:
Parents will be invoiced directly by the professionals who provide a special service.
BIS has a 'Financial Assistance' (FA) programme to support families unable to pay full fees.
- BIS FA Programme will be advertised in detail (programme description, submission dates and requirements) by mid January of each calendar year in local newspapers, the internal Newsflash, and on the BIS website. Current FA families will be notified in advance of the official announcement
- Applications in full, with complete supporting documents, must be received by February 15th of each calendar year for families currently enrolled at the school. Families enrolling during the school year or after the deadline must apply at the time of enrolment provided FA funds are still available
- Applications will be processed by April 15th of each calendar year.
- All applicants will be interviewed as part of the process to review the supporting documentation, Families must be available for interviews during the period of 15th February to 15th April.
- The school will publish in advance how many full scholarships will be awarded each year. The amount of financial assistance available is determined by the Director and the Board of Trustees as part of the annual budgeting process.
- Families with combined gross income up to Euro 40,000 can apply for a limited number of full scholarships.
- Families with combined gross income up to Euro 60,000 can apply for a limited number of half scholarships.
- Familes who receive corporate, diplomatic, or governmental support for school fees are not eligible for assistance.
- All applications must be in English.
- Financial assistance is only available for school tuition fees. Registration, capital, and facilities fees are excluded from the programme.
- Applications are approved on an annual basis only. Renewal is possible upon re-application in a subsequent year. No guarantee of financial assistance is made for future years.
- All decisions made by the Review Committee are final.
